Bowhead Operations and Marine Services (BOMS) seeks an experienced Boat Electrician to join our team in Pearl City Hawaii. The Boat Electrician will be responsible for Outboard engine, jet ski, small boat trailer maintenance and repair. Must be experienced with repairing and maintaining U.S. Navy small craft electrical systems.
Essential functions will include:
The Boat Electrician shall provide small boat/jet ski/trailer maintenance and repair and overhaul of all systems.
Provide logistics, operational testing, electrical and electronic repairs and complete vessel assessments and inspections necessary to diagnose boat, systems readiness, and prepare accurate vessel overhaul and repair packages.
The Boat Electrician shall assess HM&E systems condition readiness using tests, open and inspect checks, troubleshooting, log entries, boat historical data and other means for the following system categories:
Hull and structure
Radar system
Electrical system
Auxiliary system
Command and surveillance equipment/system
Communication systems
Navigation systems
Propulsion systems (i.e. inboard diesel, outboard engines)
Power generation and distribution systems
HVAC system
Logistics Readiness
Requirements? High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Knowledgable and experienced with electrical/electronic repairs, maintenance and complete overhauls' of United States Navy small craft.
Must have experience in installing or modifying Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems and other equipment installed on boats. Experience must include work completed on fiberglass and aluminum hull boats as well as inboard, outboard and jet pump (jet Ski) propulsion systems.
American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) Electrical Certification or other national recognized certification desired.
Having have current Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) or Yamaha outboard maintenance and repair certification is a plus.
American National Standards Institute/American Welding Society standard - ANSI/AWS D3.7 certification is a plus.
Valid Driver's License is required.
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
Must be able to obtain a Passport
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance at the Secret level.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
